A Thoughtful Thursday!

Here are my thoughts from this past week:

*I have waited waaayy too long for this bad boy! I finally got my gold card from Starbucks in the mail! I'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing seeing how Starbucks is ridiculously overpriced...definitely my guilty pleasure. :)

*These custom pretty little pieces are going to look sooo cute on an adorable little gal. :)

*I'm not going to lie, I am pretty nervous about leading a new mission in our church...but my excitement overwhelms my fear. Let's pray I don't faint while I give a speech.

*I love my friend Zayda from Thrifty Little Z for sending me a photo of her new necklace I made her.

*I'm oh. so. ecstatic about my first blog conference this year! I just bought my ticket to Elevate this morning. After driving to Starbucks to get free wifi on my way to bible study, I was able to purchase the tickets right at 9am when they started to go on sale! P.S. You should go too!

*Almost done saving up for my new camera! I have been knocking out orders like crazy to save. I will have my first DSLR baby on Monday!

*I'm way too happy about all of my new followers! Hello new friends! :)

*I may just have to make one of these necklaces for myself. I made this one for a dear friend of mine and fell in love.

*Can't wait to dive into my cheese pizza that is sitting on the counter for me RIGHT. NOW. Yummmm!
Have a beautiful day! :)

A challenge that {failed} miserably!

At the beginning of this month, I commited to a photo a day challenge hosted by fat mum slim. I was really excited because this would be the first where I would actually complete the whole challenge via instagram, every day...or so I thought!
About a week ago, my dearest son was playing with my phone (nothing new-that phone has gone through all sorts of torture). When I got it back, it was covered-COVERED in drool! I started wiping it all away and not worrying much because it has certainly happened before. What I didn't realize was that since he's getting his molars in and drooling profusely, that drool somehow seeped behind my phone cover and into the screen of my phone rendering it helpless and eventually dead! Since my upgrade isn't until April, I had to activate my old phone which of course does't get Instagram and if I want to send photos to my computer, it becomes a pain in the butt because I have to hook it up to the computer and all that jazz. Long story short-->baby drool=dead phone=no instagram=no completed challege! I did however make it about half way through the month so here's what I captured:

Day One: {Today} Snuggled up with warm fuzzy socks and peppermint hot cocoa

Day Two: {Something New} Finished a custom bridal piece that went out to Indonesia

Day Three: {Heart} While at the San Diego Zoo, I found this sweet book :)

Day Four: {View from here} Right outside of Joanns, a.k.a. my second home
+ Day Five: {Movement} Car ride with the husband for a late night Jack in the Box craving

Day Six: {Mine} Hot peppermint cocoa with whip cream

 Day Seven: {Street} Find beauty in the broken

Day Eight: {Something that starts with a "T")} Tea cup! From the little Valentine photoshoot I did right here

Day Nine: {Paper} My paper heart-also, from the mini Valentine shoot

Day Ten: {One O' Clock} My craft table at 1
Day Eleven: {Water} No water please in my hot soy chai. Yum!

Day Twelve: {Surprise} A surprise double date to Lucille's!! Delish!

Day Thirteen: {Circle} my wedding ring-a symbol of unconditional love

Day Fourteen: {Yellow} an Ambrosia apple of course!

Day Fifteen: {An Ordinary Moment} in a tire swing with my little man. I will miss these days as he grows up way too fast!

Day Sixteen: {Two} reunited with my dear friend Zayda! P.S. check out her new (amazing) blog at Thrifty Little Z. She's got talent people! :)

Day Seventeen: {Ready} ready to dive into the newest study!

...and that's it folks!! I throughly enjoyed it while it lasted. :)
Maybe come April, I will try another photo a day challenge. Until then, I can take pretty photos on my new DSLR camera I am getting next weekend! Whoop!

Have a beautiful day friends!

The Tea Party Collection is HERE!

The Tea Party Collection is now in the shop! These petite beauties are inspired by the fun dress up moments that little girls get into with mommy's heels, a big floppy hat and with pinkies up, sip from a small tea cup. Tea parties are always such a lovely occasion and this collection of hair clips reflect just that! They are created with lace, pearls, ruffles, sparkle and LOTS of love! Perfect for the {sweetest} little girls!

An idea for EVERY bride!

There are so many weddings in 2013! It can be so much fun planning for your wedding day and getting all of the details together. When I was planning my wedding back in 2010, I would be on the internet for hours looking at different ideas and finding any advice I can. There are thousands of pages with advice from wedding dresses, cake flavors, flowers that are in season-to-coordination, timelines and gifts to give to the bridesmaids. Most of all of this information can be overwhelming and tedious to go through and pick and choose what you want to incorporate.

Today though, I want to share an idea that EVERY bride should take into consideration.
Really think about what scent you will be wearing on your wedding day. Choose a perfume that you absolutely love (and hopefully your groom will love as well)!

This may seem silly and insignificant when there are SOOO many other details to worry about when it comes to one of the biggest days of your life BUT there's a GOOD reason behind this idea!

Scents are powerful memory triggers! Have you ever smelled something that automatically made you recall something from your past such as warm chocolate chip cookies bringing you back to your grandmothers house? The olfactory nerve (the nerve associated with your sense of smell) is located very close to areas of your brain that are linked with emotions and memory. The scent that you wear on your wedding day will bring back those beautiful romantic memories when you smell that same scent afterwards.

When I said "I Do" about 2 1/2 years ago, I was wearing Sexy Little Things Noir from Victoria's Secret. On special occasions, I bring out that black glass bottle and squeeze the pretty tasseled bulb on the end, sending droplets of sweet memories into the air.

What scent did you wear on your wedding day and if you are planning your wedding, what scent will you wear?

A sneak peek of the new {Tea Party Collection}

A {Valentine's Day} Inspired Photoshoot

A couple nights ago, I had a spontaneous idea to create a mini photoshoot inspired by Valentine's Day! (You can read a little bit more about the day of the shoot right here.) Valentine's Day is one of those holidays that you either love or hate. I just so happen love it, not only because my husband is super sweet but also because the Valentine decor is always so pretty and soo cute! It's hard to go by all of the red, pink, candy, sparkles and hearts in the stores and not want to decorate the whole house and throw a super girly party. Please tell me I'm not alone on that one! lol For this mini inspired photoshoot, I used a colorful palette of aqua, pink, white and gold with hints of sparkle. I stayed up the night before to put all the little details together such as the little "favors" of adorable heart pins made of felt and the lacy scalloped garland which was made using paper doilies from the dollar store. These are just some ideas that are easy to do and don't cost a whole lot.
There are a few items featured that will be in the shop soon, (if they aren't already) so head on over to Love Sparkle Pretty and see what's new!
{Enjoy}

This hairpiece is a part of the "Tea Party Collection" which will be in the shop soon! A sneak peek coming to the blog tomorrow. :)

What are your plans for this Valentine's Day?

{Have a beautiful week!}
