Finally unemployed + LOTS of new creations :D

Yesterday was my last day of working as a grocery clerk! I had been with the company for about 5 years and instead of enjoying my last 8hr. shift, I woke up REALLY sick and had to go to work that way...unable to leave early. :( I could barely even hold myself up and by the time I was FINALLY off, I was able to take my temperature--knowing I had a fever--the thermometer said 101.5 F :(
It's weird to be happy about being unemployed but with a supportive husband, I am able to focus on being a mommy, crafter, and nursing student--there's hardly any "free" time even without a job.
Here are some projects that I recently finished and now will have more time to finish up some more orders :)

{This is a fully custom bridal piece that I created with royal purple detail & a half birdcage veil.}

{These are boutonnieres that I created for a bride in Santa Maria. I used different purple feathers for the groom and groomsmen as well as purple vintage buttons.}

{This is a piece for a nautical themed wedding in Florida. It's my "Ahoy Darling" creation with light pink feathers instead of the traditional red. I also used antique-inspired lace within the ivory flower.}

{I also created another one of these vintage-inspired boutonnieres for a bride-to-be in Sierra Madre, Ca :) These boutonieres seem to be very popular!}

{& last but not least for my recent Etsy.com orders, I created 2 of these peacock fascinators for 2 bridesmaids in Australia :)}

It's always such a pleasure working with nice people and creating pieces that they will love as well! You may have noticed that my Etsy shop is dwindling down. This is because I will be adding new items to the shop very soon! :)
I'm excited about this!
If you have any ideas of what you would like to see in my shop, please let me know! I love feedback :)
As for the rest of the day, I am drinking some hot tea to soothe my throat and hopefully working on some custom orders soon when I feel much better.

{SALE} + new inventory coming soon & I need your ideas :)

Here's the deal, between being a momma to a 3 1/2 month old, wife to a handsome husband, nursing student, crafter, and checker at the local grocery store--I have very little time to create new items for my shop.
I have been trying to prioritize but I find it getting harder and harder and I'm getting tired. I have so many ideas in my head for new items for my shop but sadly, I haven't been able to implement them.
I am craving the sense of {creativity} right about now folks!
In 2 weeks though, I am able to leave my job (thank you Jesus!) and hopefully have more time for my crafting!
{YAY!}
I am in the middle of finishing up some recent orders & I want to sell the rest of my inventory to make room for all new goodies! :)
Everything is on sale so hurry before it's all gone.

On that note, what would you like to see in my shop?
I have lots of ideas for jewlery, new hairpieces, new scarves, & even clutches!
Send me your ideas! I would love to read some feedback :D

{Baby Emilee is Blooming} Baby Shower Gift

This past Saturday, I went to a baby shower for baby {Emilee}
--my soon-to-be niece :)

The theme was a {Baby is Blooming}
with flowers as the main decor.

As a gift, I created a "blooming flower pot" with a bunch of headbands as the "flowers" :)

I filled up the watering pitcher with rolled diapers and attached the headbands to green sticks (to act as stems) which I stuck between the diapers.

I also used a white t-shirt that my son grew out of and since he will be emilee's cousin, I "upcycled" his shirt into a little girls shirt :)
I sewed a pink ruffle around the neckline, attached a pink and green button, and voila! A shirt suitable for a little girly girl :)

& of course, I had to make a tutu because every little girl needs one! :)

We can't wait for {Emilee} to arrive! Only about 1 month and a half left!
:D

{Cupcake} Baby Shower Gift + Pink {Tutu}

I just finished a handmade gift for a close friend of mine for her baby shower. Her little girl is due April 26th and she is naming her
Laila Lynn
or as mommy calls her
"Little Cupcake" :)
So, to go with the cupcake theme,
I created a couple hairpieces and put them in a cupcake box.

I also made a onseie cupcake with a white newborn t-shirt that I sewed a pink ruffle to! :)
So girly right?

I also made a super cute tutu made with white, light pink, and sparkly hot pink tulle.

I'm so happy with how everything turned out!
I can't wait to meet this little girl late next month! :)

Vintage Frame Project For {Our Home}

I went to Ikea for the first time about a month ago and fell in LOVE!
While I was there, I bought this black filigree picture frame for our home as well as this black and white little clock which I found to be adorable! :)
For the frame, I took out the glass and added muslin fabric and sewed a teal letter L (for our last name) and heart onto the muslin. I also added several different black vintage buttons to the center of the heart to tie it into the black frame.

The teal colored bookcase was given to me from my grandmother. Isn't it cute? :)

I also made these yellow felt pom pom flowers with pearl details to add some bright color to the room :)
You can also purchase these little flowers from my shop here.

Ok, that's my latest project for our home...for now :)
