Scarf + matching hairpiece GIVEAWAY {sneak peek}

This afternoon, I have been working on a couple new projects that I am planning on GIVING AWAY to one lucky person! :) I will be deliberating on which blog to pair up with to host a giveaway soon! I will let you know when it's underway...in the mean time, here is what I created!
(Featured on The Frugal Girls)

I made this infinity scarf using purple, gray, and white plaid homespun fabric as well as 2 filigree buttons that attach and detach depending on how one would like to wear the scarf!

I also created a matching floral hairpiece that is also versatile and can be worn many ways! I used ivory, purple, & gray felt to create flowers and used the same type of button that I used for the scarf--for the center of the ivory flower. The flowers are attached to an ivory satin ribbon and can be tied short or long depending on the wear. :)

I hope to be updating you soon on the giveaway & as a hint, ONE way to enter is to be a follower of my blog {{wink::wink}}

Fabric corsage flower pins

I have been working on corsage flower pins for 2 weddings these past couple weeks. One wedding is in Mississippi and I am creating the 5 corsage pins using navy blue and white leaf print cotton for the flower petals, green floral cotton for the leaves, and gray sterling buttons for the centers :)
The other 5 corsage pins that I'm in the middle of finishing up are for a wedding in Canada. I am using burlap fabric for the large outer petals, french lace for the inner petals, gold shimmer muslin for the leaves, and different wooden buttons for the centers.
I am just about done with these projects and will be onto new ones very soon! :D {Have a beautiful day}

12.25.2011

I can't believe another Christmas came and went. It seems like the years pass quicker and quicker! In fact, it came so fast, my husband and I hardly had time to finish decorating our Christmas tree this year! Here are just a few photos of some ornaments we added just in time...

These 2 I created last year for mine and my husband's first Christmas together as a married couple...
B+K

This ornament was gifted to us from the man in Israel that created our cake topper for our wedding :)
                                                           08/06/10 = our wedding date

I finished this ornament for our son's first Christmas on Christmas eve! I sewed his name "Levi" and the year into it as best I can and I'm proud I had it hanging on the tree before Christmas morning! lol

A banner & ornament garland I created a few weeks ago to add some holiday spirit to the Leppelman household :)
This Christmas was extra special because it was our son's very first Christmas! His grandma Tiffany bought him his first Christmas stocking and Christmas hat to commemorate this special first holiday for him :)

After a very long day filled with tons of food, giving thanks, and LOTS of love, we finally took our first Chrstmas picture together as a family :) Levi was passed out! lol (p.s. we bought him a special Christmas outfit to wear but just as I predicted earlier that day, he had an "accident" in it and had to change his wardrobe! :D )

                                          I hope everyone had a beautiful Christmas day! :D

Chiara + Michael's wedding--featuring OOAK bridal hairpiece :D

A couple months ago, I had the opportunity to create a custom hairpiece for a bride in San Jose, CA. When she messaged me her ideas of an ivory flower with mint green details and a detachable birdcage veil that just covered the eyes, I was ecstatic to start creating her vision! After a couple of weeks in the making, I was so happy with her one of a kind piece and I wasn't the one! :)
Chiara was such a pleasure to work with and was really sweet. She recently sent me a message that read: "...my flower and veil made such a huge impact at my wedding. Everyone loved it, and asked where I got it. I def recommended you. Thanks again- I can't repay you!!! The photos were beautiful..."
She also sent me a link to her Nov. 6, 2011 wedding and let me tell ya, her wedding was absolutely beautiful and so unique! She made such a stunning bride and I was so delighted to see the final results of her hairpiece worn on her special day. Congrats again Chiara & Michael! Thank you so much for the opportunity to be a part of your special day! :D
{Here's the hairpiece I created just before I shipped it out}

CHWH Swap!

Last month, I joined my very first swap hosted by Sandy A La Mode & Much Love, ILLY. It was a swap that included a warm pair of gloves to love for the new season as well as any other goodies so I jumped on board and was so excited that my swap parter was Jessica from morrison lane in Tennessee!
I was so excited to receive my wonderful package from her a few weeks ago! She was soooo generous and I am in love with EVERYTHING she sent me! Thank you so much Jessica! :)
Her package included super adorable and cozy gloves, pretty pink scarf, eco lip balm (first time trying it & I fell in love!), lovely nail polish of gray and pink, and she even included outfits for our little man who was just born on Dec. 2nd! :D
See what I'm saying? Generous!

Also included was a cute christmas card to wish my family a very Merry Christmas which will be just that! :)

Thank you again Jessica! You're the {Best}!

Check out Jessica's awesome blog--morrison lane where she expresses life through lots of photos and shares her thoughts about family & lots of love! :D
